Henry D. Johnson, 59, of 181 Congo Road, Gilbertsville, died Sunday in Lehigh Valley Hospital Center. He was the husband of Mary Jane (Mercer) Johnson.
He was a manager of the film department of E.I. du Pont de Nemours and Co., Wilmington, Del., before retiring in 1982 after 29 years' service.
Born in Pottstown, he was a son of Titus L. Johnson of New Berlinville, Berks County, and the late Anna E. (Cleaver) Johnson.
He was a member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Boyertown, and a member of its senior choir.
He was an Air Force veteran.
Survivors: Wife and father; daughter, Susan J., wife of Bruce R. Outland, at home; sons, David A., at home, and Philip H. of Havertown, Delaware County; sisters, Marjorie A., wife of Fred Krause of Allentown, and Laura J., wife of Neil Montgomery of Trexlertown, and a grandson.
