Married twice. First to Mary E. (Merchant) Wherry, second to Margaret A. (Cole) Hanson. Son of David Wherry and Sarah Ann Alexander Wherry.

"EBENEZER WHERRY

Ebenezer Wherry, a son of the late David Wherry, of the Hickory Hill section, died on Saturday, at the home of his son, David, at Providence, of peritonitis, aged 73 years. He was formerly a farmer, but latterly was employed at Kenmore Mills, Providence. His second wife, who was Mrs. Margaret Hanson, survives him with two sons, David, of Providence, and Edward, of Wilmington, and a daughter, Mrs. J.O. Widdoes, of Philadelphia. Two sons by his first wife, who was Miss Mary Merchant, also survive him-Eri and Powell, of Pleasant Hill. His funeral was held on Tuesday with interment in Rosebank Cemetery, Calvert."
