Notes for William Earl Jr. LUKENS
William E. Lukens Jr. of North Wales William E. Lukens, Jr., 85, of North Wales, PA, passed away on December 22, 2015, at the home of his daughter in Sellersville, PA. He was the husband of the late E. Louise (nee Hostelley) Lukens who passed away in December of 2007. Born on December 6, 1930, in Fitzwatertown, PA, he was the son of the late William E. Lukens, Sr. and the late Alice (nee Sunderland) Lukens. He was a United States Marine Corps Veteran who proudly served his country during the Korean War, and he had been employed as a truck driver in the trucking and transportation industry for many years prior to his retirement. He will always be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. William is survived by his children, William K. Lukens, of Quakertown, Linda Asbury (Darrel), of Sellersville, Robert Lukens (Gretchen), of Harleysville, and David Lukens (Debra), of Lansdale, his seven grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren. Relatives and friends are invited to greet the family on Wednesday, December 30, 2015, from 9:00-10:00 AM at Huff & Lakjer Funeral Home, 701 Derstine Avenue, Lansdale, PA 19446, where his Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 AM. Burial with Military Honors will follow at Hillside Cemetery in Roslyn, PA. For those desiring, memorial contributions may be made to a war veterans’ charity of one’s choice.
