Notes for William Henry Jr. WORRILOW

LEBANON -- William H. Worrilow Jr., 80, of 400 E. High St. died Monday at home.

He retired as vice president of sales from the former Lebanon Steel Foundry and served on its board; was owner and CEO of Weaver Piano Company, York; and worked as a field underwriter with Mutual of New York Insurance Company, where he was a member of the Million Dollar Round Table, Hall of Fame and President's Club.

He was an Army veteran of World War II and Bronze Star recipient; a member of Church of the Open Door and its board; secretary/treasurer of its Organized Minorities Association; treasurer of its American Council of Christian Churches; a board member of Lebanon County Trust Company; and served as campaign chairman and president of Lebanon County Community Chest. He was a graduate of Yale University and president of its Alumni Association of Central Pennsylvania; and president of Lebanon Valley Association of Life Underwriters and the Lebanon County Medical Society Auxiliary.

Surviving are his wife, Suzanne H. Worrilow; three sons, William H. III of Lebanon, Charles C. of Fogelsville and Bruce D. of Beverly Hills, Calif.; a daughter, Wendy L. Johnston of Lebanon; and four grandchildren.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in his church. Burial will be in Mount Lebanon Cemetery.

Viewing will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday in the church.
