Notes for Alfred Harry SINGER
Alfred H. "Huck" Singer, of Downingtown, passed away on Friday, May 15, 2009.
Born in West Chester, he was the son of the late Charles and Elizabeth Singer.
Huck graduated from high school in West Chester and then served in the U.S. Navy and later the National Guard for eight years.
He loved the mountains and was an avid hunter and fisherman.
He worked as a steamfitter for the Local 420 for 30 years.
Alfred is survived by his wife, Eleanor; sons, Steven M., R. Scott (Denise) and Robert D.(Kristine) Singer; four grandsons, Nicholas, Ryan, Kevin and Jared; three brothers, James, Thomas and Butch Singer; and sisters, Eleanor Pegler and Mary Ellen Wood.
Relatives and friends are invited to share in Huck's Life Celebration Service from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Ralston-Bredickas Funeral Home, 107 W. Lancaster Ave., Downingtown.
A service will follow at 8 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be made to Coatesville V.A. Medical Center, 1400 Black Horse Hill Road, Coatesville, PA 19320.
