Notes for Robert I. HANNUM
Robert I. Hannum of Coatesville Robert I. Hannum, 81, died Tuesday December 8, 2015 at Neighborhood Hospice Inpatient Unit, West Chester. Born in Coatesville he was the son of the late Fred A. and Mattie V. Ford Hannum. He was the husband of Janet Bowman Hannum with whom he shared 55 years of marriage. Robert was a 1952 graduate of Scott High School. He served in the United States Army. He retired in 1989 from the Coatesville VA Medical Center after 37 ½ years of service. He enjoyed hunting and was a member of the Chester County Hunting Club. He also enjoyed fishing at Marsh Creek. In addition to his wife, Robert is survived by 12 nieces and nephews and their families and brother and sisters-in-law George and Sandy Bowman and Linda Bowman. He is also survived by Janice and Richard Myers and Matthew and Christopher Bruce who were like family to him. Robert is predeceased by two brothers, Kenneth and Donald Hannum. Robert’s funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, December 11 at Wentz Funeral Home, 342 East Chestnut Street, Coatesville (610)384-0318. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery, Coatesville. Memorials in his honor may be made to Neighborhood Hospice, 400 East Marshall St., West Chester, PA 19380 or Cat Angel Network, P. O. Box 3071, Stowe, PA 19464 or the animal rescue shelter of your choice. Arrangements are being handled by Wentz Funeral Home, Coatesville.
