Notes for Albert R. TALLEY
Albert R. "Bert" Talley Sr., 74, of Media, a postal carrier and life member of Media Fire Co., died Nov. 5 at Riddle Memorial Hospital in Middletown.
Born and reared in Media, Mr. Talley was a postal carrier in the borough for 30 years, retiring in 1985. He was a member of the National Association of Letter Carriers and served as shop steward for Local 725.
Mr. Talley was a life member and former secretary for the Media Fire Co. His memberships included Bartram Sands Lodge No. 298, F&AM and the Oddfellows. He enjoyed racing motorcycles and cars and was an avid NASCAR fan.
Mr. Talley also liked boating on the Chesapeake. He was the widower of Jessie Abernathy Talley, who died in 1987.
Survivors: Children, Albert R. Talley Jr. of Media, Gale Fine of Middletown brother, Gene Talley of Media two grandchildren.
Service: 10 a.m. Saturday, Rigby Harting & Hagan Funeral Home, 15 E. Fourth St., Media.
Visitation: After 9 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
Burial: Glenwood Cemetery, Marple.
