Notes for Richard Conrad CLOUD

Richard Conard Cloud, 67, of Exton, a retired bank executive, died of cancer Saturday at Chester County Hospital.

Mr. Cloud had worked for the First National Bank of West Chester for 33 years and was executive vice president of its loan department when he retired in 1996.

He was born in West Chester and had lived in Exton for the last four years. He lived previously in West Goshen for 28 years.

Mr. Cloud graduated from West Chester High School in 1949, Pennsylvania State University in 1958, and the Stonier Graduate School of Banking, which was at Rutgers University, in 1969.

Mr. Cloud, who served in the Air Force during the Korean War, was a former volunteer firefighter with the First West Chester Fire Company for 30 years and was a member of the Fame Fire Company in West Chester. He was a former president of the West Chester Exchange Club.

He served on the West Goshen Township Board of Supervisors from 1985 to 1993 and in 1990 was selected as the West Chester Chamber of Commerce's Outstanding Man of the Year.

He was also a former board member of the United Way of Chester County, past president of the United Way of West Chester and former treasurer and member of Masonic Lodge 322 in West Chester.

He was a member and elder of the First Presbyterian Church of West Chester and was a past president of the Chester County Bankers Association.

He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Margaret B. Davison Cloud; children Douglas B. and Elizabeth C. Guman; and two grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. today at the First Presbyterian Church of West Chester. Friends may call there after 6 p.m. Burial will be private.
