Earl was the husband of Janet MacNeal Supplee; they shared 64 years of marriage. For 30 years, Earl and Janet loved to square dance.
Born in Honey Brook Township, he was the son of the late Warren A. and Isabella Hoffman Supplee.
He lived in this area all his life and graduated from the Coatesville Scott High School in 1935.
He worked for Bethelem Steel for more than eight years and then was employed by Lukens Steel Co. for more than 36 years, retiring in 1981 as a computer programmer with 45 years service.
Earl was a member of the Coatesville Lodge #564 F.& A.M., now Brandywine Goddard Lodge #383 F.& A.M. of Coatesville, where he served as master in 1961 and 1986. He was also a member of the Centennial Commander #55, Royal Arch Chapter # 67, Rajah Temple and Consistory of Reading, Goodwin Council of Lancaster and he was awarded the York Cross of Honor.
He also was a member of the Sadsburyville Fire Company, where he had served as president. He had served as township secretary, assessor and tax collector.
He is survived, in addition to his wife, by three children; Jane M., wife of Michael McDevitt of Coatesville, Robert A. Supplee and wife Berniece of Downingtown, Frances "Bonnie" McCoy of Coatesville; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and one sister, Dorothy Shumate of New Holland.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Floyd and Alvin Supplee, and one sister, Lillian Campbell.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 10, at 11 a.m. at the Upper Octorara Presbyterian Church, 1121 Octorara Trail Parkesburg, PA 19365, followed by interment in the adjoining cemetery.
Relatives and friends may call at the Wilde Funeral Home, 434 Main St., Parkesburg, on Monday, Jan. 9, from 7 to 9 p.m. and also at the church on Tuesday from 10 to 11 a.m.
Brandywine Goddard Lodge #383 will conduct Masonic services at the funeral home on Monday at 9 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the church at the above address or to Heartland Hospice, 5 Christy Drive, Brandywine Two, Suite 103, Chadds Ford, PA 19317.
