John Lawrence Hazzard, 76, of the Wallingford section of Nether Providence, died May 30 at Wallingford Nursing Home.

Born in Lewes, Del., Mr. Hazzard lived in Wallingford since 1969.

Survivors: Wife of 54 years, Eleanor Hendrixon Hazzard brother, Gerald Howard Hazzard of Springfield sister, Marilyn M. Smith of Medford, N.J. three grandchildren nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Service: Noon Thursday at Minshall-Shropshire Funeral Home, Middletown (Route 352) and Knowlton roads, Middletown.

Visitation: After 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Burial: Old Union Cemetery, Wallingford.
