Notes for Elizabeth Blair NOWLAND
Elizabeth Blair Nowland, age 50, of Wilmington, DE, died Monday, December 5th, 2016 at her home after a brief illness.
Blair was born in Wilmington to the late Philip J. Nowland and Sandra Robertson Nowland Tisdall. She was a graduate of Tower Hill School and she earned her BA and Masters in Education, both from University of Delaware.
Blair was a second grade school teacher at the Lancashire Elementary School in the Brandywine School District for the past 27 years.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother Philip C. Nowland. She is survived by her son, William Lea Nowland, a brother David T. Nowland and his wife Cathleen C. Nowland, nephews Henry and Jack Nowland, all of Atlanta, GA, step-father Joseph Tisdall, step-sister Valerie Lamm and her husband Sandy Lamm, of Orlando, FL, aunts Barbara Allison of Centerville, DE and Susan Curtis of Lewes, DE and uncle Caswell Robertson of Pompano Beach, FL, as well as many cousins.
A service is being planned at the Westminster Presbyterian Church in Wilmington for early in 2017. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Blair's memory to the Brandywine Education Foundation,
