Notes for Charles Fisler SMALLEY

"Services for the Rev. Charles F. Smalley, who died at his home in Easton, January 5 were held in his home on January 8 and interment was made in the Riverview cemetery, Wilmington, Delaware. Dr. Franklin, president of Crozer Theological seminary, officiating.

Rev. Smalley was born December 30, 1867 in Clayton, New Jersey. He graduated from Hahnemann Medical college and Crozer Theological seminary. He practiced medicine in Wilmington, Del., and held a medical post in Bombay, India. He held Baptist pastorates in Toledo, Ohio; Provo, Utah; Clarion, Irwin and Chester.

On October 2, 1897 he was married to Sarah Allmond of Wilmington, Delaware, who died May 19, 1926. On December 10, 1928 he married Lotta Chegwidden of Easton.

Surviving are his widow and the following children: Miss Margaret Smalley of Atlanta, Georgia; Mrs. D. Grant Mickle of Detroit, Mich; Mrs. Melbourne W. Boyton of El Paso, Texas and Mrs. Byron Kifer of Clarion. Two sisters, two brothers and seven grandchildren also survive."
