Florence M. (Horne) Cunningham, 81 of Wilmington, DE, passed away on Wednesday, July 27, 2011.
Mrs. Cunningham was born in Wilmington on June 25, 1930, daughter of the late Harry and Florence (Yeatman) Horne. She was employed as a supervisor with Wiltex Corporation and retired after 38 years of dedicated service. A member of Peniel United Methodist Church, Mrs. Cunningham was also a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Minquas Volunteer Fire Company, the Ladies Auxiliary of the New Castle County Volunteer Firefighter's Association and the Ladies Auxiliary of the Delaware Volunteer Fireman's Association, where she was honored as member of the year in 2004.
Her husband of 48 years, John E. Cunningham, passed away on December 1, 1991. Mrs. Cunningham will be lovingly remembered by her daughters, Patricia Kerr and her husband, George and Diane Cunningham; her granddaughters, Deidre Kerr and Kimberly Malcom and her husband, Edward; her great grandsons, Zachary and Cody Malcom; her brothers, Harry and William Horne; and her sisters, Dorothy Bruch, Marie "Mickey" Treml and her husband, William, Evelyn Houghton and her husband, John and Linda Horne. She was predeceased by her sister, Kathryn Brittingham.
