Elizabeth Dague, formerly of Parkesburg

Elizabeth B. Dague, 96, formerly of Parkesburg, passed away Sunday, March 18, 2007, at the Hickory House Nursing Home of Honey Brook.
She was the widow of the late Evans B. Dague, who passed away in 1975.
Born in Parkesburg, Elizabeth was the daughter of the late J. Wallace Boyd and Eleanor Cowan Boyd.
A Parkesburg resident for most of her life, she was a graduate of the Parkesburg High School.
After graduating from college at West Chester Normal, she was employed as a teacher at the Rock Run and King's Highway Elementary Schools for over 31 years, retiring in 1973.
Elizabeth was a member of the Upper Octorara Presbyterian Church, where she taught Sunday school classes.
Elizabeth is survived by her four children, Richard E. Dague, husband of Marie of Parkesburg, Thomas B. Dague, husband of Sherry of Punta Gorda, Fla., Patricia D. Keefer of Cedarburg, Wis., and James H. Dague of Virginia Beach, Va.; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and one sister, Virginia B. Roop of McClean, Va.
Elizabeth was preceded in death by a sister, Margaret J. Festa and brother, J. Douglas Boyd.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 22, 11 a.m., by the Upper Octorara Presbyterian Church, 1121 Octorara Trail, Parkesburg, followed by interment in the adjoining cemetery.
Family and friends are also invited to attend the viewing, which will be held at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.
