Notes for Irma Ann CLASEN

Irma Ann Eastburn of Landenberg, Pa. Irma Ann Eastburn, 92, of Landenberg, passed away on Friday, May 8, 2015 at Christiana Hospital following a brief illness. Born in Relligen, Germany on April 17, 1923, Irma was the daughter of the late Herman and Martha Buck Clasen. She served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and achieved the rank of Yeoman Second Class. She was a member of Mill Creek Friends Meeting and also attended the Parkview Assembly of God for the last several years. She was very active until recently. She enjoyed playing cards, painting portraits of animals and landscapes and travelling; including driving six times to Alaska. She will be remembered as a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great- grandmother. Surviving are her son, John Eastburn and wife Lori of Virginia Beach, Va.; three daughters, Carolyn Hoffman of Newark, Susan Massengale and husband Steve of Oxford, N.C., and Nancy Phillips and husband Bob of Landenberg; nine grandchildren, 10 great- grandchildren and two sisters, Anita and Etta. She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, John Evans Eastburn.
