Larry E. Slater, 67, of Indiantown, died March 13, 2008.

He was born in Indiana, and moved to Indiantown in 2004.

He was an active member of Holy Cross Catholic Church in Indiantown.

He was in the U.S. Air Force.

In 2000 and 2001, he served as Vice Flotilla Commander in the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary Flotilla 51 in Riviera Beach, and then Flotilla Commander in 2002. He taught at the Elisabeth Lahti Library in Indiantown.

He is survived his wife of 45 years, Catherine (Cathy) Slater, of Indiantown; two sons, James of Indiantown, and Richard of Palm Beach Gardens; two brothers, Louis of Texas, and Steve of Indiana; and seven grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, those wishing may make a memorial contribution to Holy Cross Church Building Fund, 15927 S.W. 150th St, Indiantown, FL 3495
