Notes for Anne DAVIS

Anne Stoltzfus of Paradise Anne Stoltzfus, age 93, of Paradise, passed away at her home on Friday, Feb. 13. 2015. She was the wife of the late Lester T. Lamborn, who died October 11, 1973 and the late Eby E. Stoltzfus who died January 16, 2006. Born in West Grove, she was the daughter of the late George R., Jr. and Ruth E. Myers Davis. Anne was a member of Calvary Monument Bible Church. She had been organist and choir director for Landenberg Methodist Church for many years. She had a good alto voice and sang in a gospel chorus and still loved to sing hymns with her caregivers and family. She enjoyed sewing and quilting. Anne served her country in the Navy during WWII as a storekeeper and bookkeeper. She was also a bookkeeper at Farm Bureau and All Rentals Company. Anne drove a school bus for the Avon Grove School District and drove a coal delivery dump truck. She is survived by her four children: Lester T., Jr., husband of Sharon K. Andelt Lamborn of Grand Rapids, Mich.; Richard Dick A., husband of Diane Phelps Lamborn of Lancaster; Susan C. Lamborn, with whom she resided; Dr. Thomas R. Lamborn of Siloam Springs, Ark.; five step-children: Abner Stoltzfus of Cochranville, Robert, husband of Pauline Stoltzfus of Christiana, Ralph, husband of Ilene Stoltzfus of Kirkwood, Donald, husband of Deborah Stoltzfus of Christiana, Alvin, husband of Sue Stoltzfus of Strasburg, step-daughter-in-law Deborah Stoltzfus of Christiana, 10 grandchildren, numerous step-grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, and numerous step-great and step-great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by an infant son, Ronald E. Lamborn, step-son Kenneth Stoltzfus, and siblings George R. Davis, Mildred Cullen and Ruth Davis. Funeral service will take place from Calvary Monument Bible Church, 1660 Mine Road, Paradise, Pa., on Saturday, February 21st at 11 a.m., with Rev. Robert M. Reid officiating. There will be a viewing at the church on Friday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. and again on Saturday from 10 a.m. until time of service. The interment will take place on Saturday in the Hockessin Friends Cemetery, 1501 Old Wilmington Road, Hockessin, Del.
