Notes for Montgomery Rankin GRYDER

Montgomery read medicine under direction of Edward Chandlee, MD, and graduated at the Jefferson Medical College, Philadelphia. He commenced practice at the village of Cochranville, Chester County, but remained there only a short time. He returned to Chestnut Level, Lancaster County, where he continued his profession for a number of years. Purchasing a farm near the "Fulton House", he moved upon it and remained there until he received an appointment as one of the clerks in the Naval office, Philadelphia. His present residence is 104 Friedlander St. [1872]
