Mrs. Woodward was a Charter member of Christ United Methodist Church, a 50 year member of the Red Cross, a 63 year active member of the Cranston Heights Ladies Auxiliary and first inductee of the Hall of Recognition for Ladies Auxiliary. A long term member of Delaware's Democratic Party, having worked under 5 governors, Mrs. Woodward served 18 years as chairwoman of Christiana District #4, a reader of Senate Assembly #116 and House Assembly #120 and 15 years as secretary of the Bingo Commissioner.
