Charles P. "Chuck" McVaugh, Jr., died Saturday, November 29, 2014 surrounded by his loving family.
Chuck earned his undergraduate (1968) and master's (1970) degrees from the University of Delaware. He served as a lieutenant in the Army. Chuck worked for 30 years as a teacher and coach in New Castle County. After retirement, he volunteered for 10 years at the Chester County Archives.
Chuck was predeceased by his father Charles P. McVaugh, Sr. He is survived by his loving wife, Anne; sons Charles S. (Alexandra), Peter M. (Samantha Tocker); mother Betty Newlin McVaugh; and grandson Hudson S.
A visitation for family and friends will be held on Saturday, December 6, 2014, at the McCrery & Harra Funeral Home, 3710 Kirkwood Highway, Wilmington, DE, beginning at 12 noon. A memorial service will be held at 1 pm, and the family asks that friends attending please come prepared with their favorite memory to share. Burial will take place privately.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations in Chuck's memory to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
