Notes for Kathryn MURRAY
Kathryn Murray Davis, 89 of Elkton, MD, died November 11, 2014 at Caraway Manor Assisted Living in Elkton.
Mrs. Davis was born on April 23, 1925 in West Chester, PA, daughter of the late Parke and Helen Nuttall Murray. After graduating from college she worked as a chemist for Johnson Matthey in Phoenixville and in 1972 became associated with Colonial Metals in Elkton, retiring in 1990. She was a past member of the American Chemical Society. Kathryn enjoyed tennis and golf and at the age of 50 she earned her pilots license.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Richard K. Davis in 2010; a brother, Glenn R. Murray and a sister Lois E. Pratt
Mrs. Davis is survived by her friends for over 40 years, Bonnie Bartlett and Melanie Powell and families.
A viewing will be held on Tuesday, November 18 from 10 to 11 am in the Galena Funeral Home of Stephen L. Schaech, 118 W. Cross St. Galena, MD, where funeral service will begin at 11 am. Burial in St. Stephen's Cemetery, Earleville, MD.
