Gloria Mae (nee Benedict) Weida, 73, of Chadds Ford, PA, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 11, 2014 at St. Francis Hospital in Wilmington, DE. Born in West Chester, PA, Gloria was raised on Beaver Valley Road in Concord Township, PA. She enjoyed the friendships she formed at Brandywine Summit Camp, and was a lifelong member of Elam United Methodist Church in Glen Mills, PA.
Gloria was predeceased by her daughter, Jeanne Mae Weida, her husband Paul Weida, Sr., her mother, Ida T. Roop, her father, Harry Benedict, and her step-father Harvey J. Roop Sr. She is survived by her two sons, Paul Weida Jr. of Chadds Ford, with whom she lived, and Harry Weida of Wilmington, her sister Ellen Galloway (Ronald) of Newport, PA and her brother, Harvey J. Roop III (Laura) of Wilmington, DE, two nieces, two nephews, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
