Notes for Sara Katherine REYBOLD
Sara Katherine Eastburn passed away at the Methodist Country House on November 9, 2014. She was 96 years old. Sara, born in Wilmington, DE on November 4th, 1918, was the daughter of Mary (Gray) Reybold and James A. Reybold, Sr. On August 27th, 1940 Sara married Lewis B. Eastburn in what is now St. Mark's United Methodist Church, where she has maintained her membership. Sara was preceded in death by her husband in 1991, five days short of their 51st wedding anniversary. She was also preceded in death by her sister Ruth Reybold, her brother Alfred Reybold, and grandson Michael C. Eastburn. Surviving are her beloved family - children James Eastburn (Donna), Mary Eastburn (special friend Julia Wheeler); grandchildren Richard Updyke (Tracy), Rebecca Hewlett (Drew), and Beverly Neal (Michael); great-grandchildren Robert Eastburn, Tyler Marshall (Jordan), Trevor Marshall, Andrew Updyke, Lauren Neal, Nicholas Neal, Evan Updyke, Gavin Updyke; and great-great-granddaughter Elsie Eastburn. The family extends their heartfelt thanks to the wonderful nurses and staff of the Methodist Country House where she has lived for the past 16 years, and also to Vitas Hospice for their many kindnesses to Sara.
