Notes for Richard Haigh YARNALL

Richard H. "Dick" Yarnall, 83, of Swarthmore passed away peacefully surrounded by his family at Taylor Hospital on August 1, 2014. Born in Chester, son of the late Clyde and Margaret Haigh Yarnall, he has been a resident of Ridley Township for the past 58 years.
Dick was a graduate of Chester High School, class of 1949 and went on to serve in the US Navy during the Korean War.
He was employed as a Truck Mechanic for the Scott Paper Company for 43 years, retiring in 1992. Dick was a long time member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Chester, PA and recently attended the Ridley Park United Methodist Church. He was also a member of the American Legion Post #777 Crum Lynn, Chester Lodge #236 and Penn Lodge #709 F. & A.M and Tall Cedars Chapter 21. He was High Priest of Chester Riblah Council #59 where he held several honorable positions over the years.
He was an avid Phillies and Eagles fan but most importantly Richard was a loving husband, father, grandfather and especially loved his great-grandchildren.
Survivors: his wife of 59 years, Barbara Wright Yarnall, father of Richard A. Yarnall (Janice), JoAnn Poole (Harold), Karen Murray (Robert) and David Yarnall (Amanda), grandfather of Richard A. Yarnall, Jr. (Kelly), Katie Evans (Rich), Emily Garvey (Michael), Jonathan Poole (Samantha Nusspickel), Robert Murray, Jr. (Kaitlin) and Faith Yarnall, great-grandfather of Mason Evans and Madison Garvey, step-great-grandfather to Antonio and Taylor Goicuria, also many nieces and nephews.
Funeral Service: 11 a.m. Tuesday at the White-Luttrell Funeral Home, 311 N. Swarthmore Ave., Ridley Park where friends may call after 9 a.m.
Masonic Service will be held at 10:45 a.m.
Burial: Lawn Croft Cemetery.
