Notes for James Lee PYLE
James Lee Pyle, 64, of Wilmington, DE passed away on Tuesday, July 29, 2014 surrounded by family and friends.
A native Wilmingtonian, Jim was born on November 21, 1949, son of the late Charles and Catherine (Roberts) Pyle. Throughout the years, he was employed with Strawbridge & Clothier, Main Street Stationers, Hugh George, Hanby's, Video Frequency and Happy Harry's.
Jim was a great fan of classic movies, and had a particular interest in special effects. He enjoyed photography and photo enhancement, and was proud to display his work in some area restaurants. Jim was an avid animal lover and was generously devoted to the Delaware Humane Association. He will be remembered for his ability to make others laugh, for his caring nature and his capacity to give.
Jim is survived by his wife of 41 years, Sharon Cargill Pyle; his sister-in-law, Gail Hammond; his buddies, Edie, Beth and Lisa, and others too numerous to mention; and his beloved kitties, Aaron, Ernest and Samantha.
Friends are invited to visit at the Doherty Funeral Home, 1900 Delaware Avenue, Wilmington on Wednesday, August 6 from 10:00-10:30AM. Funeral services will begin at 10:30AM, with interment following in Chester Bethel Cemetery.
