Notes for Helen K. HOOPES
Helen Hoopes Holzman of Dunwoody Village, Newtown Square, died on July 20, 2014. She was born on August 6, 1918 in Philadelphia to Thomas R. and Lillie E. (nee Vassallo) Hoopes; survived by a sister, Doris Krivas (Jules) of Waukesha, WI and various nieces and nephews. Her brother, Thomas R. Hoopes, Jr., predeceased her. A member of Philadelphia's First Presbyterian Church for over fifty years, Helen served faithfully as trustee and elder, while also chairing the church finance committee. Mrs. Holzman was a long time employee of Girard/Mellon Bank, serving as an Officer in the Trust Account Management Division. After retiring from Mellon Bank, Helen provided performance measurement consulting services to Center Square Investment Group. A Memorial Service will be held at 11am on Mon. July 28 at the First Presbyterian Church in Philad., with a reception to follow the service. Interment, family plot, at Lakeview Mem. Cem. Cinnaminson NJ. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to First Presbyterian Church, 201 South 21st. St., Philadelphia PA 19103.
