Notes for Elizabeth BROOMELL
Elizabeth "Betty" Broomell Pyzanowski, 87, of Pomeroy, passed away on Saturday, May 24, 2014, at the Pocopson Home.
She was the daughter of Anna (Grady) and Charles Broomell.
She was the wife of the late Francis "Frank" Pyzanowski, with whom she shared 59 years of marriage.
She came to Coatesville with her parents at an early age.
She attended St. Cecilia School.
When she got married, her and her husband moved to Pomeroy, where she had lived for 53 years and raised two sons.
She worked for P.J.'s Deli for 38 years, retiring in 2007.
She was a longtime member of Our Lady of Consolation Church of Parkesburg, and a life member of Parkesburg VFW 4480 and Pomeroy Fire Company.
She is survived by a son, Arnold Broomell and wife, Lisa; two grandsons, Zachary and Aaron Broomell; a faithful daughter-in-law, Vicki Pyzanowski Florian, wife of Robert; and granddaughter, Christina Weaver, wife of Jon; and great-grandson, Chase Weaver; as well as her nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her bad cat, Tory, who was master of the house.
She was predeceased by a son, Francis Pyzanowski Jr.; and husband, Francis Sr.; sister, Ann Salback; and brother, Charles Broomell.
The Mass of Christian Celebration will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, May 28, at Our Lady of Consolation Church, 603 W. Second Ave., Parkesburg, PA 19365, followed by interment in the Parkesburg Catholic Cemetery.
The viewing will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. on Wednesday at the church.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Our Lady of Consolation Church at the above address.
