Notes for Doris BROSIUS
Doris Brosius Coxe, 88, passed away at Brethren Village in Lancaster on May 19, 2014. Born in Carlisle, PA, she was the daughter of the late William J. and Marie E. Brosius.
Doris was a 1944 graduate of West Chester High School. She was a loving homemaker raising her family in East Bradford Township. Later she worked for John Wanamaker’s as a sales associate for over 25 years.
Doris was a 78 year faithful member of First Presbyterian Church in West Chester. In addition, she was a 59 year member of The Marshallton Grange. She had a passion for politics and compassion for all.
She was a proud Grandmom of both her grandson, K.C. Trost, who served 8 years in the Marines, and also her granddaughter, Katie Trost. In addition to her grandchildren, she is survived by her daughter, Gail E. Coxe of Elverson, PA; three great-granddaughters, Sarah, Megan, and Laura Trost; and her sister, Patricia Court. She was preceded in death by her son, Gary K. Coxe.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, May 24, 2014 at First Presbyterian Church, 130 W. Miner St., West Chester with a visitation from 10-11 a.m.
Interment will be private.
