Notes for Dolores M. CROSSAN
Dolores M. (Crossan) Stearrett, age 60, of Middletown, DE passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, April 24, 2014, while surrounded by her family.
Born in Elkton, Maryland on September 29, 1953, Lorri was a daughter of the late Calver T. "Pete" Crossan and Theresa "Toots" DeStafney Crossan. She made her career as a bookkeeper for several local contractors, retiring after many years of dedicated service and had also worked for an optician's practice.
An avid sports fan, Lorri especially liked watching baseball. She enjoyed sewing and quilting in her leisure time. Lorri's happiest moments were spent traveling with her family and sharing time with her loved ones. She will be dearly missed.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Thomas Crossan. Lorri is survived by her beloved husband of 42 years, Kenneth J. Stearrett, Sr.; daughter, Stacey P. Stearrett (Michael A. Cox) of Rising Sun, MD; son, Kenneth J. Stearrett, Jr. of Bear, DE; brother, Michael Crossan (Anne-Marie); sister, Patricia Olsen (Arthur); and granddaughter, Kaitlin Cox.
A funeral service will be held at 12 Noon on Wednesday, April 30, 2014 at the Spicer-Mullikin Funeral, 121 West Park Place, Newark, DE, where family and friends may visit from 10 am until 12 Noon.
