Sarah Eva Thorne b. 21 Jul 1904 in Coatesville, Chester Co Pennsylvania daughter of Edward S. Thorne and Lydia Margaret Kenedy-Thorne.


She married George Lincoln McCausland, married 19 Sep 1922 in East Lincoln Highway, Coatesville, Pennsylvania. A pretty home wedding occurred at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Thorne, of Coatesville, on Saturday evening, when their daughter, Sarah became the bride of George Lincoln McCausland, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Henderson McCausland, of Caln Township. The ceremony was performed by Reverand Howard Hand, of Coatesville. To the strains of the Lohengrin Wedding March, played by Miss Florence Martin of Coatesville, the Bridal Party entered the parlor, where a company of relatives and close friends were assembled. The Bride was given away by her father, her sister, Miss Margaret Thorne, was Maid of Honor, and Maurice Ferguson acted as Best Man. The bride was attired in white crepe de chine. She wore a wreath of orange blossoms and carried white asters. The Maid of Honor wore blue silk. A reception and wedding supper occurred immediately after the ceremony. The young couple were recipients of many beautiful and useful gifts. They left for a short wedding trip, followed by a crowd of merry makers, who pursued them to the railroad station. Guests were present from Philadelphia, West Chester, Downingtown, Coatesville, Pomeroy, Pa., and Cedarbrook, N.Y.

George & Sarah had 3 children.
