Notes for Ingeborg Margit SCHUELER
Ingeborg M. Darlington, 91, of Roaring Spring, PA and formerly of Sanatoga Ridge, Lower Pottsgrove Twp., widow of Homer J. Darlington, died Wednesday, Jan. 4, 2017 at her daughter’s home in Roaring Spring, PA. Born in Berlin, Germany, she was a daughter of the late Willy and Margareta (Deinert) Schueler. Mrs. Darlington along with her late husband owned and operated for many years Ivy Mansion, a home for exceptional children, in Pughtown, PA. They were foster parents to over 100 children during the 1960’s. She was a member of Berean Bible Church. Surviving are three daughters, Gerlinde wife of Thomas Weaver, with whom she resided in Roaring Spring; Gisela wife of James Yerkes, Tuscaloosa, AL; Sonnhilde wife of Frank Mullican, Chesterfield, VA; three foster children, Bonnie Herd, PA; Julie Hale, GA; and Sharon Kramer, FL; one brother Gerhard Schueler, Germany; nine grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held 11:00 am on Friday, January 13, 2017 at Berean Bible Church, 2675 East High St., Pottstown, PA. Officiating will be Reverend Jeff Scholl. Burial will be private at Limerick Garden of Memories, Limerick, PA. Contributions may be made in her memory to Berean Bible Church. Arrangements are by the Schumacher & Benner Funeral Home & Crematory, at 359 King St. in Pottstown, PA. Our web site exists to serve the friends and family of the deceased.
