Notes for Deborah Ann PALMER

She eloped as their parents did not approve of them marrying. Joseph left the seminary where he had been studing to become an Episcopal minister. He was an instructor at the Huntington Co. Academy, and later at the West Chester Academy. In 1826 John Palmer gave them a farm. They lived there until Joseph resumed teaching in 1826. They later moved to Frostburg, MD. (1851)
