Charles J. Barr Sr. of York Charles J. Barr, Sr., 82, died Thursday, Oct. 17, 2013, in York, Pa. He was the husband of Jacquelyn (Osmond) Barr. Mr. and Mrs. Barr observed their 61st wedding anniversary on Oct. 11, 2013. Charles was born in West Chester on Sept. 25, 1931, a son of the late Harry R. and Anna Julia (Mann) Barr. He was a self-employed cabinet maker. In addition to his wife, he is survived by six children, Dr. Charles Barr, Jr. and wife, Betsy of Downingtown, Jonathan Barr and wife, Marla Price of York, Holly Castillo and husband, Jesus of Seattle, Wash., Christopher Barr and wife, Linda of Norristown, Melissa Tollinger and husband, Michael of Dallas, Texas, and Dr. Michael Barr and wife, Joy Zhang of the United Kingdom; eight grandchildren; three brothers, Harry D Barr, Sr., Doug Barr, and Paul Barr, all of the West Chester area; and a sister, Nancy Herrmann of Walpole, Mass.
