Marilyn L. Allman (1932 - 2008)

MONTPELIER - Marilyn L. Allman, 76, Montpelier, died Tuesday, November 4, 2008, at Hillside Country Living near Bryan. Born October 7, 1932, near Montpelier, to Elinor (Worthington) and Lawrence Wisman, she was a lifelong area resident.A 1950 graduate of Montpelier High School, she married John R. Allman on November 19, 1950, and he survives.
A former member of Montpelier Women of the Moose, she had retired in 1987 as an Inspector at Powers & Son, Inc. of Montpelier, where she had been employed for over 20 years.
Also surviving are a son, Kenneth L. Allman, Bryan; a daughter, Debra S. Allman, Montpelier; four grandchildren, Brett (Tiffany) Allman, Quincy, Mich., Kevin (Billie Jo) Allman, Quincy, Mich., Tami (Daryl) Hill, Bryan, and Tyson (Heather) Allman, Defiance; 10 great-grandchildren, Kayla Ann Ingram, Cole Lee John Allman, Braden Lee Allman, Caden John Allman, Madelyn Allman, Brennen Allman, Macy Allman, Kailey Allman, Kayla Allman and Gabrielle Allman; her mother, Elinor Wisman, Montpelier; a brother, Jack (and special friend, Sandy Gunderson), Plymouth, Wis.; and a sister, Jean (Roger) Shepard, Montpelier.
Preceding her in death was her father.Visitation will be Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. in Wilson-Geesey Funeral Home, Montpelier. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday in First Presbyterian Church, Montpelier with Reverend David Tilly officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery. Preferred memorials are to Hillside Country Living or First Presbyterian Church.
