Notes for Lee Schaffer JOHNSTON
Lee Shaffer Johnston, 73, of Port Charlotte, died Jan. 2, 1997.
He was born Aug. 12, 1923, in Bryan, Ohio, and came to this area 11 years ago from St. Clair Shores Mich. He was a tool and dye setter with Chrysler Corp. He was of the Presbyterian faith and was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Navy.
Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Melba; daughters, Barbara Stover of Port Charlotte and Shirley Johnson of Davenport, Fla.; brothers, Charles of Lewiston, Mich., and John of Montpelier, Ohio; sister, Helen Stone of Fort Ogden, Fla.; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
