Elizabeth Boyer Aldred was the daughter of Riter and Hannah (Swope) Boyer. At Grove Methodist Church she married Thomas Cooper Aldred, son of Thomas Jefferson and Hannah Bonsall (Fisher) Aldred. They were the parents of nine children: Helen A. Aldred, who died in 1897 while she was engaged to be married; Thomas Henderson Aldred; Charles Boyer Aldred; Lydia McClees Aldred; Henry Buckwalter Aldred; Martha Ferguson Aldred; Mary Boyer Aldred; DeWitt Clinton Scott Aldred; and Edward Boyer Aldred.
