Kathleen A. "Kathy" Heaps, 38 Kathleen A. "Kathy" Heaps, 38, of Benton, ended her journey on earth on Wednesday, September 4, 2013 at University of Pittsburgh Medical Center where she was a patient since July 21. Born in Darby, PA on November 28, 1974, she was the daughter of June (Pennock) Barber of Benton and the late Thomas R. Barber, Sr. She was a graduate of Parkway Gamma High School in Philadelphia.
She was married November 20, 1999 in Philadelphia to Christin J. "Bubba"Heaps, Sr., who survives. In 2001 the family moved to Benton after living in Collingdale. She was employed in early childhood development. Kathy held the offices of Secretary, Vice President and most recently President of the Slaughterhouse Wrestling Club in Benton.
Kathy was always there for anyone who needed a helping hand; she was always there for anyone who needed her. She will be greatly missed for her caring and devotion of being a loving wife, mother and friend, she was a great mother and her family was her life. Her main goal in life was that she loved children and loving taking care of them.
Survivors: In addition to her husband Bubba, Kathy is survived by two sons, C J and Max and a daughter Avery, all at home as well as her mother, June Barber of Benton; three brothers, Edward Barber and his wife Colleen of Upper Darby; Thomas R. Barber, Jr. and his wife Andie of Dennis Twp, NJ; and James Barber and his wife Amanda of Philadelphia; nieces and nephews, Shannon, Brianna, Keara, Maddison and Tommy; mother-in-law Carol "Cookie" Heaps of Colwyn; sister-in-law Shai Heaps of West Chester as well as other nieces, nephews and many friends.
