Notes for Esther PIERSON
Esther Pierson Elvin of Unionville Esther Pierson Elvin, 88, died Wednesday Sept. 4, 2013 at the Chester County Hospital. She was the wife of the late Trevor Elvin who died in 2009 and with whom she shared 65 years of marriage. Born in London Grove, she was a daughter of the late George and Emily Mason Pierson. Esther was a 1943 graduate of Unionville High School. She was a member of Unionville Presbyterian Church, the East Lynn Grange, the Chester County Antique Car Club and was a Worthy Matron of Eastern Star #249 of Coatesville. She was a dedicated employee of Wyeth Labs in West Chester, and Pepperidge Farm. She also loved boating, traveling and had special memories of Hollywood Beach, Md. Survivors include two sons, Trevor "Skip" Elvin Jr. of Oxford and David P. Elvin (Joan) of Unionville; one daughter, Carol E. Hollister of Kimberton; one brother, Al Pierson of Knoxville, Tenn.; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Family was dear to Esther's heart and friends were a joy to her life. She was predeceased by a brother, Howard and a sister, Eleanor. You are invited to visit with Esther's family from 9 to 11 a.m. Monday, Sept. 9th, at the Unionville Presbyterian Church, 815 Wollaston Rd. (Rt. 82 & Wollaston Rd.), Unionville, PA 19375. Her funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. Interment will be in Unionville Cemetery.
