Notes for Marshall Hanna MILLER
Marshall H. Miller "Marsh", 72 Marshall H. Miller "Marsh", 72, died suddenly July 5, 2013 at his home in Lansdowne. Born in Wilmington, DE, he had lived in Lansdowne for 59+ years. Marsh was a long time employee of Bell Telephone and had been active with Pioneer Partners, the organization of Bell retirees.
He then worked at Radio Shack in Springfield for several years. Marsh was a veteran of the U.S.
Navy having served during the Vietnam era and was a member of the American Legion Post in Hummelstown, PA. He was predeceased by his wife of 33 years Carole A. (nee Lawver) Miller. Together they were members of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Lansdowne, the Delaware Valley Steamship Historical Society of America and Pennsylvania Jaycees where they met many years ago. Marsh was dedicated to the Lansdowne Volunteer Fire Company having served as Vice President and was most proud of being Fire Company Historian.
His hobbies, beside anything to do with the fire company, included photography and trains. He was the son of the late Paul S. and M.Elizabeth (nee Yeatman) Miller. Survivors: Niece Shirley (Bob Richmond) Hobart of Hummelstown, PA Memorial Service: Wednesday, August 28, 2013, 7 PM, at DOYLE-STONELAKE FUNERAL HOME, 85 E. Baltimore Ave., Lansdowne, PA 19050.
Visitation: Family and friends may visit from 5-7 PM. Graveside Service with Military Honors: Thursday, August 29, 2013, 11:30 AM at Hummelstown Cemetery. In lieu of flowers: Contributions in Marsh 's name to the Lansdowne Volunteer Fire Co., 26 N.
