Notes for Curtis N. SHIVERY

“ Curtis N. Shivery, who celebrated his 87th birthday anniversary last Wednesday, was found dead while sitting in a chair in the living room of his home yesterday afternoon. He had been in failing health a long time ago due to advanced years but had not been treated by a physician. Dr. S.C. Wilson, Oxford, who was summoned to the Homeville home, arrived about fifteen minutes after Shivery had passed away. The body was taken in charge by Funeral Directors Wentz, Atglen. Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at two o’clock at the Wentz Funeral Home, with interment in Cochranville Methodist cemetery. Shivery had spent all his live in the Homeville community and retired as a farmer many years ago. He is survived by his wife, Rachael; two step-children, Mrs. Harry Waltman, Norristown, and Chester A. Kimes, Quarryville; and one brother, Bayard (sic) Shivery, Malvern. He was a son of the late Sarah Loller and George Shivery.”
