Notes for Samuel Warren III SUPPLEE

Samuel W. Supplee, III, 83, of Robert Fulton Highway, Peach Bottom, PA died at his residence, surrounded by his family, on Saturday, October 20, 2018. He and his wife Janet Hoffman Supplee were married 60 years. Born in Lionville, PA he was the son of the late S. Warren and Mildred McBride Supplee.
Sam was a lifelong dairy farmer, both in Lionville and then in Peach Bottom when he and his family moved in 1990. A hard worker, he missed only one milking out of 730 in one year. He was proud of being awarded and recognized for his cows producing 1 million pounds of milk in 1998. He was a member of FFA and served as its county president from 1953-1954.
Sam was a member of Windsor Baptist Church where he served as a deacon, sang in the choir and also dug graves for the church cemetery.
He graduated from Downingtown High School where he participated with the marching band. His biggest hobby was that of fox hunting.
Surviving beside his wife Janet are 4 children, Kevin W. (Susan) Supplee of Crab Orchard, KY, David A. Supplee of Glenmoore, Kathy S. (Buddy) Oliver of Elkridge, MD, Daryl W. (Krissy) Supplee of Peach Bottom; 8 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; a brother, R. Walter Supplee of Coatesville, two sisters, Carolyn Miller of Chester Springs, and Esther (Charles) Popjoy of Glenmoore.
He was preceded in death by a grandson, Bo.
Viewings will be held at Reynolds Funeral & Cremation Services, Inc. 144 East State Street, Quarryville, PA on Friday, from 7:00-9:00PM and again on Saturday at the church from 9:00AM until the time of service. Funeral services will be held at Wrightsdale Baptist Church, 310 Little Britain Road, Peach Bottom, PA on Saturday, October 27, 2018 at 10:00 AM with Pastor Steve Sheldon officiating. Interment will follow in Windsor Baptist Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Sam’s memory to BoStrong Foundation, (http://www.bostrongfoundation.org), 5956, Augustine Avenue, Elkridge, MD 21075.
