Notes for Richard Vaux STRAWBRIDGE

STRAWBRIDGE
RICHARD V., of Vermont, passed away on Monday, July 15, 2013, at the age of 74. Born in Philadelphia PA, Mr. Strawbridge is the son of the late William J. Strawbridge and the late Mary Gwinn Vaux Strawbridge. He lived in the Philadelphia area most of his life. After his retirement, he moved to a farm in central Vermont to continue his life-long passion for the outdoors, trout fishing and hunting. During the Vietnam War, he served in the US Army. Richard was an amateur photographer and a sailor who spent many years on the waters off Mount Desert Island in Maine and Newport RI.
Mr. Strawbridge was survived by son, Andrew V. Strawbridge and two brothers, William J. Strawbridge, Jr. and Norris Strawbridge. A Service, in September, celebrating his life will be private for close friends and family. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations in his memory be made out to Trout Unlimited or the International Federation of Fly Fishers.
