M. Augustus Crowl, for many years a resident of East Nottingham township, died on May 8 at the home of his daughter, Mrs. F. J. Pratt, near West Chester, at the age of 85 after an illness of a week. Mr. Crowl was the son of J. Latta and Rachel Gibson Crowl. For many years he was engaged in farming near Maple Grove school. FOr about twenty years he lived in Philadelphia. He was an elder of many years in Oxford United Presbyterian Church and served as elder in the Fifth W.P. Church of Philadelphia. He is survived by his widow, who was Miss Mary E. Groff, of Hopewell, and by seven children. The funeral services are being held at the home of his son, Eben M. Crowl, East Nottingham this afternoon to be followed by interment in Oxford Cemetery.
