Notes for Dorothy E. EACHUS

Dorothy E. Eachus Sharrer, 80, of Thorndale, Pa., went home to be with the Lord on Friday, April 6, 2007 at the Brandywine Hospital. She was the wife of Walter L. Sharrer, with whom she shared 64 years of marriage. Born in Downingtown, Dorothy was the daughter of the late William Hunter Eachus and Edna Mae Moffitt Prouse Eachus. A resident of Thorndale for the past 37 years, Dorothy worked at the Keystone Mushroom and the Lukens Steel Canteen, before she retired to raise her children. She is survived, in addition to her husband, by three children, Walter Leroy Sharrer, husband of Donna of Downingtown, William Howard Sharrer, husband of Denise of Thorndale, George Lee Sharrer, husband of Norma of Downingtown and son-in-law, Charles Sherrer of Thorndale; grandchildren, Kimberly Ann Deas Cowperthwaite, wife of Timothy, Edna Mae Deas Tipton McFarland, wife of Thomas, Tammy Lee Sharrer Reese, wife of Andrew, Rose Elizabeth Sherrer Kinney, companion of Gary Hervey, Charles Amos Sherrer, Jr., husband of Jennifer and Nicholas Hunter Sherrer; and great grandchildren, Kyleigh Cowperthwaite, Cannon Cowperthwaite, Ashley Tipton, Zachary Reese, Christina Reese, Jessica Kinney, Talia Sherrer and Lee Sherrer Hervey; step grandchildren, Dennis Cassel, Michael Cassel, Joel Cummings, husband of Carrie, John Cummings, companion of Nicole Sihagian and Rebecca Cummings Brown, wife of Tim; step great grandchildren, Quintin Cummings, Michael Cummings, Madison Cummings, Haley Wood, Colin Cassel, Armen Cummings and Meia Brown. She is also survived by her sisters, Mary E. Eachus Keros, widow of the late Thomas Keros, Clara M. Eachus Dommell Magluilo wife of John, Sara C. Eachus Jones, wife of Hobert, sister-in-law C. Joy Prouse and a baby sister who died at birth; brothers, Wilbert H. Eachus, husband of Grace, Harold L. Eachus, and Robert P. Eachus, widower of the late Beverly. Dorothy was preceded in death by her daughter, Gloria Sharrer Deas Sherrer, granddaughter, Amy Lynn Sherrer, sister Edna M. Eachus Manning and her husband John, brothers Thomas W. Prouse and his wife Helen, James N. Prouse, and William H. Eachus and his wife Helen. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 11, 2007 at 11 AM from the Wilde Funeral Home, 434 Main St, Parkesburg, followed by interment in the Hephzibah Baptist Cemetery of East Fallowfield.
