Notes for William G. Jr. MARIS
William G. Maris Jr. of West Chester William G. Maris, Jr., 77, of West Chester, died Sunday, March 24, 2013, at Life Care of Chester County. He was the husband of Roberta C. Mathias Maris with whom he shared 51 years of marriage. Born in East Fallowfield Twp., he was the son of the late William G. and Edith M. Bryson Maris, Sr. William was a 1953 graduate of Coatesville High School. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. After the military, he was employed for over 35 years with the U.S. Postal Service. He was a former member of the First Baptist Church of Coatesville and a current member of the First Baptist Church of Malvern. His hobbies included stamp and coin collecting. Surviving him are his sons, Thomas R. Maris and Timothy A. Maris; a sister, Barbara Maris; and 10 grandchildren. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery, Coatesville.
