According to his obituary, he died at Coatesville Hospital. He was a life-long resident of the Downingtown and resided at 349 Jefferson at the time of his death. He was a member of St. James Protestant Episcopal Church of Downingtown, of Uppowoc Tribe 47, Order of Red Men, West Chester; the Minquas Fire Co., Downingtown, and the Chester County Firemen's Association. He retired from the Downingtown Paper Co. in 1956 after 40 years of employment.
