The McGavock Family
Alberta P. McGavock, daughter of Dr. David T., born in Nashville February 10, 1841, married Dr. Dallas Bache April 19, 1864, and died June 4, 1878.
Dr. Bache was a great-grandson of Benjamin Franklin, nephew of Hon. George M. Dallas, late Vice-President of the United States, also nephew of the wife of Chief Admiral Porter and of Mrs. Walker, wife of Robert J. Walker, Secretary of the Treasury under President Polk.
He was in the United States service, stationed at Angel Island, near San Francisco, California and died June 1902.
