Notes for George Pennock WOODWARD
WOODWARD, REV. GEORGE PENNOCK, 96 - died at Cornwall Manor, Cornwall, PA, August 21, 2004. He was son of the late Samuel P. and Anna Elizabeth Woodward. His ministerial service includes 11 years as pastor in the Church of the Nazarene at Bethlehem, PA and Johnstown, PA and 39 years as an Artist Evangelist. Every service he drew an illustration of a familiar hymn and three or four illustrations of his sermon while he preached.
He was predeceased in death by his spouse Mary Opal July 3, 1999. Surviving are three children, Mary Priscilla Seymour of Hamilton, OH; Dr. Samuel Oren Woodward of Berne, IN; and Anna Opal Scheidly of Erma. He leaves nine grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren and eight great great grandchildren.
Services will be held Friday, August 27 at the Seashore Community Church of the Nazarene, 446 Seashore Road, Erma. Viewing from 12 until 2 with the service at 2 p.m.
