JOHN W SINGER ("Jack"), age 81, of Unionville, PA passed away on Saturday, February 9, 2013. He was the husband of Ann Wright Singer, who passed away in 1994, and with whom he shared 44 years of marriage.
Born in West Chester PA, he was the son of the late Pusey J and Minerva Dowlin Singer.
He was owner-operator of Chester County Timber Inc in Unionville PA.
He is survived by two sons, John Singer, Jr (Emily) of Unionville PA and James (Jim) Singer (Susan) of West Chester PA; four daughters, Dianne Therry (Bill) of Unionville PA, Susan Singer of Kennett Square, PA, Shirley Myers (Dennis) of Damascus, MD, and Janet Singer of Kennett Square PA; one brother, Jay Singer (Erma) of New Holland PA; one sister, Nancy Jane Bottomley (Gilbert) of Quarryville, PA; eleven grandchildren: Roland and Chris Singer, Heather and Ashley Singer, Mark and Scott Fisher, Drew, Liz and Jeff Myers, David and Dawn Mullens; and seven great-grandchildren: Sophia and Amelia Kuemmerle, Ben Myers, Sean Myers, Roman Mulllens, and Andrew Mullens and James Dannenberg Jr.
You may visit with his family and friends from 5:00 to 8:00, Wednesday evening, February 13, 2013 at the Kuzo & Grieco Funeral Home, 250 West State Street, Kennett Square PA (Phone: 610-444-4116) and again from 10:00 to 11:00 Thursday morning, February 14, 2013 at the Unionville Presbyterian Church, 812 Wollaston Road, Unionville PA. Funeral service will follow at 11:00. Burial will be in the Unionville Cemetery, West Doe Run Road & Cemetery Lane, Unionville PA.
