Notes for Edward William III BRODERDORP
Edward W. "Bill" Broderdorp, III passed away peacefully on Friday, October 7, 2016, surrounded by his family.
He was born and raised in Wilmington and is the son of Edward W., II and the late Grace Broderdorp. Bill graduated from Conrad HS and proudly served his country in the US Air Force during the Vietnam War.
Bill worked for Amtrak for over 35 years, retiring as a machinist in 2010. He enjoyed his following years spending time with family and friends, especially his grandchildren. He also enjoyed watching his children and grandchildren participate in their sporting events and spending time at the beach.
His wife of 30 years, Denise L. (George), died in 2008. Bill will be dearly missed by his 3 children, Scott, Craig (Kristen) and Dawn Conway (Jeffrey); 6 grandchildren, Alissa, Liam, Tanner, Hope, Lucy and Olivia and his brother Larry. Edward is also preceded in death by his 2 sisters, Joyce and Margie.
The family would like to thank everyone for their thoughts, prayers and assistance over the past several months.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Bill's name to Seasons Hospice, 220 Continental Dr., Suite 407, Newark, DE 19713.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 11, from 6-8pm at McCrery & Harra Funeral Homes, 3710 Kirkwood Hwy (at Duncan Rd) Wilmington. A funeral service will be celebrated at the funeral home on Wednesday, October 12, at 9:30am. Burial will follow at Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
